Revival Mane // A Hair Culture

I came in to see Dylan twice at the Davenport location because my roots were done incorrectly the first time around. The blonde was not applied correctly at all and there is a harsh line on EVERY section of my hair. I went for a 3rd visit to see Cami at the East Moline location even though I specifically asked for Audi, the owner of this establishment, to oversee and correct what had been done. She apparently was unavailable or too busy to pay any attention to this situation. Cami did her best to correct it with toner and she was very kind. But I basically went 3 times for it to look like a 3rd grader applied bleach to my hair. I payed a good amount of money and more of my time was wasted trying to get it corrected. I have been wearing a hat everyday to cover it up for the past month because no matter how I style it, it looks absolutely horrendous. I literally don't understand how you think this is acceptable. I can't even look at my hair without crying. You should understand that this effects real people and their confidence and I'm not someone you can just run an experiment on for a discount because your stylist doesn't know how to do color. I wasn't even aware of the fact that Dylan needed more practice with doing color. He just offered me a discount and made it seem like it was "just because". I feel absolutely disrespected and disregarded and if you wouldn't walk out of the house with your hair looking like this, I don't know how you should expect me to. Absolutely ridiculous.

I'm traumatized. My hair was down to my lower back and it's now under my shoulder blades. The left side of my hair is one inch longer than the right side. I was told they would have to cut my hair because the old color wouldn't come out after they stripped my hair only for them to color my hair the same color it was prior to my appointment. My hair was supposed to be a mushroom brown and it's dark brown with a ton of banding and the color is terrible and now red in the sun on top. I'm mortified. It took years to grow my long hair only to have someone not give af and Chop it all off. I just can't even. 300 dollars and 8 inches gone im sorry but I can't recommend them at all. Then they decided to give me $100 and was told to have a good day. When I spoke with the manager and showed her my hair she had nothing to say except she wasn't there for the consultation. I even showed her how uneven my hair was and she said nothing. Well, go get the stylist and let's have a chat. That didn't happen and now my hair is gone.

Do not go to Shelbi for your hair! You will be highly disappointed. I showed her pictures of what I wanted, only for her to mess it up.. I came back later for her to redo it, & the 2nd time around was worse, the end result was brutal.. & my hair is now damaged.

Cami was wonderful! Love my cut/style and color. Very personable. Will definitely be back :) Update - I see Katie now and I am thrilled with my hair - EVERY TIME. And the conversation is always great!

Extremely unreliable. Would not recommend. Revival Mane holds customers to such a strict, zero-tolerance cancellation policy yet faces no accountability with their own last minute cancellations. I decided to give this place a chance after referrals of a good albeit expensive haircut, yet family members and myself have separately experienced last minute cancellations. My haircut was cancelled less than 1 hour before my scheduled appointment with no voicemail or text message indicating the cancellation. I had to find out about the cancellation after driving to Revival Mane and checking in at the front desk. A few months ago, my family also faced last minute cancellations and requests from Revival Mane to reschedule a second time after already rescheduling the original appointment. Now I know that unreliability is a pattern with this organization.

First time client. I was so impressed with the staff and salon, very welcoming and clean. I had my cut with Meredith, what an absolute amazing stylist she is. So easy to talk to and very talented at what she does. Thank you Meredith! I look forward to my next visit. Update: 2 years later and still give Meredith and the salon 5 stars ⭐️ I look forward to my appointments every time.

Amy is always providing top knotch hair excellence. But honestly you could go to any stylist here and leave looking like a goddess. Such a great atmosphere. Prices are competitive and they offer the best products to take home for in-between services. I make sure to be booked out 2 or 3 appointments to ensure I get in when I want because they fill up FAST.
