I had a home warranty contract with 2-10 and they sent Steven A Mills Plumbing to assess and fix a leak in my unit. The plumber, Josh, was rude from the start and demanded his service fee immediately upon arrival. He ignored the fact that I had legal access to the plumbing from the unit below and insisted on taking the easiest route instead of doing the thorough job the situation required.

Josh’s diagnosis was way off. He claimed the leak was caused by the shower faucet head and putty for the drain—something I doubted from the start. Instead of thoroughly checking the plumbing from below (which he could have easily accessed), he replaced the most basic part of the shower trim. He even assured me I wouldn’t need to inconvenience my downstairs neighbor again and confidently told me the issue was fixed after a quick 10-minute job.

However, not even 5 minutes after he left, water was still pouring into the unit below. When I called him back, he was dismissive, rude, and refused to return promptly to fix the problem and refused to fix the problem at a later date. Instead of taking responsibility, he tried to pass the blame and gave me excuses, saying it wasn’t his problem anymore and that I needed to contact my warranty company.

It was clear that Josh was more interested in avoiding work than actually fixing the issue. He didn’t bother to check the plumbing from below, which would have easily shown the problem wasn’t fixed. My neighbor and I had to coordinate time off work two Fridays in a row, only for him to avoid doing his due diligence. Also the fact he promised it was all good and wasn’t caused more damage.This is straight-up unprofessional and borderline fraudulent. Save yourself the headache and steer clear of this company!

Josh was assigned to us by our Home Appliance Warranty company 2-10 Homeowner.
The plumber was cordial, professional and respected our home.
He went right into the master bathroom and fixed the leak.
We appreciate how quick they were to dispatch someone to come out and do the repairs.
And, through 2-10 Homeowner payment was a flat rate, and a breeze.
I highly recommend Steven A. Mills Plumbing from my positive experience with one of their plumbers/Josh.

I used american home shield for some plumbing issues and they sent me through Steven a mills plumbing. They came out to my house about 5 times to fix a leaking facuet. I tried to explain to them that it was more than just the seals needing to be replaced. They changed the seals and about a month later, the leak came back. 0 out of 5 stars

I was assigned this company through my plumbing warranty company. They came out for leaking toilets and a leaking water heater. The gentleman who came out to do the assessment missed the broken flang on the toilet and told me it was the wax ring. I was approved for the replacement water heater and when the plumber, Josh, came out he told me he could not find the master valve shutoff. I told him I was on a community well and he blew me off telling me “you are not on a community well”. It took my neighbor to tell him I was. He then told me he couldn’t turn the well off cause he couldn’t be responsible for the others on the pump who were on irrigation only. He then told me he couldn’t spend 3 hours looking for the turn off valve, he left without installing it. I told him I would look for the valve after I got home from work. I then looked for the valve after work and found it after 30 minutes behind the water softener. I know nothing about plumbing and found it in 30 minutes when a professional plumbing could not find it. I called to ask them to come back to install the water heater and they said they couldn’t for a week, their next available time. Only after I complained and wouldn’t except that for a answer, did the office manager say they would speak to the owner to see if they could come earlier. To their credit, the owner had them there two days later to install the water heater. If you use them and Josh shows up, I would ask for another plumber to come. He gave me more reasons why he couldn’t do things, then things he could do to help me. Maybe others have had a better experience with Stephen A. Mills plumbing, but this was mine.

Plumber was mean and unprofessional. Plumber takes too many smoke breaks. The plumber never went under the house to find the leak. The water leaked all over my floors. My Home Warranty company sent them. I do not recommend. The plumber put all new fixtures on expect one. Left one old fixture on so now they don’t match. Plumber did not have a long enough snake to clear the line. Plumber begged for good reviews. Plumber quoted me for $800 for an install and said the water was coming from the sewer side. The city came out to check and they said it is find on their end. I had to hire my own plumber to get the job done

They came out 4 times before finally fixing the issue. We paid to have Ceiling fixed after water leak to learn that they never even fixed the issue and now we have water stains on the ceiling again! 800$ down the drain there.
Finally fixed issue after 4th time (I think). Go to shower to learn that the handle wasn’t installed back on correctly and can’t turn it to hot for hot shower.

Assigned by our home warranty company to handle a leaking hot water heater. Process was easy and professional. Timely response had Isaac putting in a new water heater and bringing everything in our older home up to current code. Clean installation. Great personality of the technician and respected our home. Highly recommend
